Where is my route data kept?
Radar Route stores your routes, places, preferences, and progress on your iPhone. Apple Maps services are used for place search, location details, maps, and driving estimates, and shared files contain the information you choose to include.

Understand local records and temporary details
Saved data includes route names, notes, selected location bookmarks, entered addresses, chosen names and icons, requirements, order, progress, and an active outing’s original GPS return point. Departure-reminder choices and minimal guidance state also remain local.
Apple-provided place details, calculated driving legs, and map geometry are temporary. Radar Route reloads details from bookmarks and obtains fresh estimates when needed. It does not retain a continuous GPS trace, and a saved bookmark is not an offline map.
There is no cloud route synchronization, cloud restore, whole-library export, or delete-all control in the current app. Device backups may include app data depending on Apple’s backup settings; local storage does not disable those backups.
Understand what leaves the device
Apple receives the requests needed for search, resolving places, maps, and driving estimates. Optional Contacts use reads names and postal addresses, and a selected address is sent to Apple Maps for resolution. Confirmed destinations are separate from the Contacts list.
A shared plan file exposes its included locations and notes to recipients and anyone else who has the file. Notification content can identify your commitments. Radar Route does not include a developer backend, advertising integration, or analytics SDK in this implementation.
Find the privacy and license documents
- On Home, tap the Settings gear.
- Find Privacy & Legal.
- Open Privacy Policy or End User License Agreement to view the linked Tomita Tech document.
Open iPhone Settings in the same Settings screen to review permissions. Default duration and distance units are also configured there; driving preferences are under Route planning.
Remove records deliberately
Use Delete Route for a route or plan, and swipe individual saved or recent places to remove them from their list. Removing a place does not remove stops already using it. Previously shared files and existing device backups must be managed separately.
Deleting the app removes its local app data; offloading retains that data. Do not uninstall as a first repair for a loading problem. Tomita Tech cannot remotely access or delete the route database on your iPhone.
Prepare a useful support report
Include the app and iOS version, the exact error, what you were trying to do, and whether the problem involved location permission or connectivity. Avoid including private addresses or notes unless needed to explain the issue. The support form on this website is separate from your iPhone’s route database.
