How do I save and reuse a route?

Prepare a reusable plan

1. Open Routes, which starts on Saved.
2. Tap the plus control labeled New Saved Route.
3. Enter a name and choose the starting point, outing day, stops, requirements, and finish.
4. Tap Done on Saved Route.

Done saves this reusable plan without requesting driving estimates or resolving a Current Location origin. Selecting individual places may still need Apple services. The plan stays in Routes and does not appear as an unfinished outing on Home.

Create a fresh outing from a saved plan

1. Open the plan in Routes > Saved and tap Start Route.
2. On Review Route, check the day, origin, stops, requirements, and finish.
3. Tap Plan. Radar Route calculates fresh estimates and creates a separate inactive outing.
4. Review that outing, then tap Start Now when ready to leave.

The reusable plan remains unchanged, and each outing starts with fresh progress. Despite its name, Start Route does not immediately start location tracking. Cancelling the review does not change the saved plan.

Save or duplicate an existing route

Open an outing’s Route Actions and choose Save Route to create a separate reusable plan while retaining the outing’s progress. Saved to Routes indicates that a linked saved plan already exists.

Choose Duplicate to review a copy. Copying a saved plan produces another saved-plan draft; copying an outing produces a new outing draft. Notes and requirements are retained, while visit identities, progress, and estimates are reset. Confirm the editor to keep the copy.

Find or reuse a past outing

1. Open Routes and choose Recent to find completed or cancelled outings.
2. Open a past outing and tap Use Route Again to prepare a new trip.
3. Review the new draft and confirm it before starting.

Search with Search saved and recent routes. It matches route names across both segments and groups matches under Saved Routes and Recent Routes. Unfinished unsaved outings remain on Home, outside this library search. A completed outing cannot be edited directly into a new trip.

Delete a plan or outing

1. Open the route’s Route Actions.
2. Choose Delete Route.
3. Confirm Delete this route? only for the route you intend to remove.

A saved plan and the separate outings created from it are distinct records. Delete the relevant record rather than assuming one action removes all of them. An older saved outing may offer Unsave Route; that is different from the current separate saved-plan workflow.
