How do I zoom each view?
Pinch the portrait view, or expand landscape to zoom its independent camera.

Single rear or selfie camera
- Place two fingers on the main preview, outside the teleprompter panel.
- Spread to zoom in or pinch together to zoom out.
- Watch the temporary × readout and check the landscape crop too.
One physical camera feeds both outputs in this setup, so its zoom changes both. Rear single-camera video can hand off between the iPhone's available lenses. Rear single-camera photos can also move between physical lenses as the pinch crosses their usable ranges; a brief camera-switching pause can occur. There is no single-photo lens selector to open in current Settings.
Two cameras with independent zoom
- For rear Dual Lens, turn Settings → Rear Camera → Linked Zoom off if you want independent zoom. Both rear/selfie mode always keeps its cameras independent.
- Pinch the main portrait preview to zoom its camera.
- Tap Expand landscape preview on the smaller window.
- Pinch the expanded landscape picture to zoom its camera.
- Tap Collapse landscape preview or the dimmed outside area when finished.
The small landscape window does not carry its own independent pinch gesture. Expand it first. The shutter remains usable in the expanded view, and zoom is available during video recording.
Linked Zoom on two rear lenses
With Linked Zoom on, a pinch on portrait or expanded landscape sends zoom changes to both rear cameras. Each camera still has its own hardware minimum/maximum and lens field of view, so matching zoom commands need not produce identical compositions. Enabling the link brings landscape toward portrait's current zoom; disabling it leaves the current views until the next pinch.
The temporary readout fades after the gesture. Zoom ranges depend on the camera; do not publish a universal maximum. A zoom lens handoff or camera rebuild can clear a tap-focus selection. Recheck focus and framing after changes.
